About JIDU

The Jinja District Union of Persons with Disabilities (JIDU) is a district umbrella
organization that brings together and represents all categories of persons with
disabilities (PwDs) in Jinja District and Jinja City. Established in 1998, JIDU was
formed to serve as a unified voice for persons with disabilities and to advocate
for the promotion, protection, and realization of their rights and welfare.

We are affiliated to the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda
(NUDIPU), the national umbrella body for persons with disabilities in Uganda.
